Whoa. What is that? Wow, a jet trail behind a jet. Look at that in the sky! I could even hear the jet so I sat right down in my walk.
My mom says that is called a contrail. Can you say that word? “Contrail.” When the hot jet exhaust mixes with cold air, it leaves a trail you can see, just like blowing your warm breath out on a cold day.
If the contrail is thin and only lasts short, it predicts fair weather. But if the contrail is thick and lasts longer, it predicts stormy weather.
Pretty cool, huh? So much happens in the sky and I want to know about it all.
I enjoyed reading about the adventures of Captain Diego. He's learning many new things which children will like to know. It's fun to see the pictures also.
