The vole guy came to work in our back yard. I liked him and he liked me.
We had never heard of voles, have you? They are kind of like mice and they live in fields and pastures. Only they are not mice. They ruin your grass by eating the roots from below. They also make holes and trails all through the grass. This is what they look like:
Anyway, I liked watching the guy work. He hammered in these black boxes all around the yard. The voles will go in there and eat the poison bait.
The boxes won’t bother my parents and I. But we’re not crazy about how our yard looks now. Oh well.
The vole boxes don’t prevent me from running full speed around the yard!
I was giving the vole guy a big goodbye and right after this picture I bit his lip. Whoops. Sorry. It was just an overexcited kiss. My mom was really sorry. I will try to do better. I’m only 4 1/2 months old.
Happy spring everybody. I’m going to go off and chew bones on the lawn...
